Squishable science time! Did you know that a rabbit is a type of lagomorph, a taxonomic order meaning hare (lago) + form (morph)? You didn’t? Now you do! Now, pretend you still don’t know any of that. Wouldn’t it be great if instead, it meant lago (Spanish for “lake”) + morph (“to change form”)? Which is to say, what if Bunnies could turn into lakes? That would be pretty weird, but occasionally useful! Picture a rabbit out in the forest getting chased by a fox, spontaneously turning into a lake, leaving the fox confused + soaked! Or what if you’re about to push your canoe into a lake at the boat launch, only to find out that it’s back into rabbit form, laughing at you while gnawing on a little carrot? Hilarious! Just sayin’.
